Our garden is located in Aizkraukles region, Irši parish. Between Koknese and Ērgļi, in the middle of Latvia. Irši - a small village. Irši parish is historically notable for the fact that from 1766 to 1939 a large German peasant colony was located here. From the large Irši manor complex, only the barn remains, which has been renovated and is available for viewing.
Our nursery consists of working fields and a peony display garden, where grow approximately 200 peony varieties.
Both classic values and less common peony varieties are visible. The peony display garden is designed to allow you to gain a complete insight into the diversity of peonies, both in terms of colors and flower shapes.
The majority of the garden consists of working fields, which are not available for viewing.
We have created an online store where you can purchase some of the plants we grow.
Our garden does not have fixed opening hours, always please call in advance if you are interested in the plants we grow.
Around mid-June our garden offered for viewing - from early flowering peonies to late varieties. It is a one-day even. The latest information about viewing dates is published on our Facebook account, usually it is mid-June. During the viewing, there is a unique opportunity to look into the future of peonies, that is, our peony seedlings, the latest varieties that have not been seen anywhere else before, are arranged in vases.

The main areas of work of our nursery are hybridization work, the creation of new varieties, selection, evaluation and care, propagation of existing planting material.
It is important for us to grow high-quality plants in Latvia, the propagation and offering of planting material for both the local and export markets.
All our plants are grown in open fields, in their natural environment, where they formed a high-quality root system, which is essential for the plants to take root further in the gardens of our customers.
All our grown plants are strong, healthy, and comply with all internationally recognized plant growing standards.
We do not use chemical plant growth stimulants or other environmentally harmful substances. We are environmentally and human-friendly. We observe plant rotation on the planting material fields so that the soil is healthy and clean.
Work with growing plants takes place all year round: soil preparation - both with machinery and by hand, plantation care, planting, plant propagation, selection work.
Hybridization work is very responsible. It requires a strict assessment and approach to the grown planting material, from which varieties created in Latvia are further grown and offered.
